The Author and Information on The Huntress Stories

My name is GieGie. I wrote "The Huntress" series of stories which are chronicled in this document. I've been an avid Metroid fan since I was 13 years old, and recently I decided that perhaps it would be a good idea to put my fanatics into a story since I also love to write.

I also like to Role Play a lot, RPG's being some of my favorite types of games. Because of this, I have found that developing a character and then bringing them to life in writings is really an enjoyable thing to do. It was a while before I even got the guts however to attempt to write a Metroid fan fiction because as much as I loved Metroid, there was no way I wanted to write something and make it seem less than what it is. The same went for Samus Aran, the heroine of the novels and, of course, of the games. So needless to say, her character development had to be good, otherwise I wasn't going to do any more after the first one.

As it turned out, Samus was a really fun character to write about. I took to heart parts about her from the Metroid games and then filled in the holes, as well as for her background, which has never been totally revealed yet. After I had come up with a good idea in my head for the type of person Samus Aran probably is, I gave it the green light and started working on it.

I kept telling all the readers about how it was only going to be three stories in all (it used to be "The Huntress Trilogy"), but I went and wrote 3 more for two reasons. One was that I had too much fun writing them, and wanted to do a bit more, and the second was that I had actually gotten a great response from the visitors to my website who downloaded them and read them. I got a few emails asking me if that was all I was going to write and about how disappointing it would be if I weren't. So a big thank you goes out to the people who gave me those wonderful compliments! The Huntress Stories may not be the best stories written by FAR, but you guys made me feel like I did pretty good, and for that I'm very grateful!

Some people were wondering why I write these if I make no money off of them, and the answer to that is simple. BECAUSE I ENJOY DOING IT!!! Writing has always been a hobby of mine, and writing these fan fictions has been an interesting experience for me, as well as a learning one!

Another thing I wanted to note was that some people were asking me why I had given the stories a "PG-13" rating. This is because the stories do get descriptive with the violence in them from time to time, as well as the bad language that can be and usually is used. The reason I put the violence and language in the stories like I have is because I wanted to make these stories seem realistic and I wanted to do them in an adult like nature. I wanted something that the now much older fans of the Metroid series could enjoy as an adult (The first Metroid came out in 1986, and even if you were born in that year, you would now be 18 years old-a legal adult in the USA). So in a way I suppose you could say that these stories are for the long time fans of the Metroid series, the ones who can remember picking up their controllers and plugging in Metroid to the big old grey Nintendo box sitting on top of their TV's. Secondly, I also think of Metroid as being a more mature theme anyway, especially with all the dark and warped types of aspects that go along with the storyline. It's an artistic point of view that I wanted to include in this series and have done so! So if you're a younger reader who's come across these stories then please keep that fact in mind! As for the rest of you I hope that this makes the stories somewhat more interesting and entertaining for everyone!

So now that all of the stories are done, I thought I would put together a "chronicle" of the characters, locations, and races that I have made up in the stories and give a short description of each.

Thanks for reading my fan fictions and for boosting my self confidence level a notch!!! (I mean it, I really needed it!!!)

About "The Huntress Series"

The Huntress Series is a line of fan fictions I've written about what could have possibly happened after Planet Zebes was destroyed in Super Metroid. At the time I began writing them, I hadn't played Metroid Fusion, which is the true story of what happened after Zebes was destroyed, and so without knowledge of the storyline to that game, I couldn't write that into my stories. So this series takes place as if Fusion never happened. If you liked Metroid Fusion, then I have to apologize for this, but there are some pretty good twists and turns in these stories that may provide you some good entertainment.

I tried to base these stories around the heroine of Metroid, Samus Aran, and her struggles both with outside forces and herself. I wanted to try and write some stories that might bring her to life a little more and show that while she is a hardened bounty hunter, she is also still human. Hence the name of the series, "The Huntress".

To make the story as believable as possible, I had to make up places, races of aliens, and even came up with a few weapons and devices that are not featured in Metroid, such as some of the items used for medical healing and the like. It was a lot of fun to play around with the ideas, and I only hope it makes these stories a good read for you.

Characterizations

**Note that there are no set years for the events in which things happen in the Huntress Series. Therefore I will only be listing the Month and Day of birth, not the year.**

Primary Characters

Samus Aran (Created by Nintendo)
Age: 24
DOB: Unknown
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 124 lbs
Sex: Female
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Species: Human w/cybernetic implants

Biography: Born on K2-L, Samus Aran was orphaned at the age of 5 when her biological parents were killed in a Space Pirate Raid. She was the only survivor, and was found by an intelligent and highly advanced species of aliens called Chozo. This species "adopted" her as if she were one of their own.
When Samus was 15 years old, the Chozo gave her cybernetic implants, as they did all their warriors, something Samus planned on becoming. Also, they infused her with their superior blood, which raised her metabolism and made her immune to many diseases that even the Chozo were susceptible to.
At the age of 17, disaster followed Samus on the Planet Revon where the Chozo had raised her mostly. The last of the Chozo were wiped out by Space Pirates, the same race of aliens that had also killed Samus' biological parents. Samus Aran seemed to disappear from the written history of the cosmos for at least 2 years after that until she re-emerged as a full-fledged Bounty Hunter, capable in every right, and unknown beyond the powerful suit of armor the Chozo had equipped her with years earlier. Her reputation became undeniable.
Somewhat of an introvert, Samus never speaks with others of her feelings much. On very rare occasions will she speak of them, but everyone who knows her listens when she does. For this, most of the people who don't know her believe she is cold and uncaring, a killing machine and nothing more. Despite her hard nature, she would die to protect those she loved, and would never hurt someone innocent.

"The Samus these Chozo knew died on Revon. She died when a blaze of fire stole the life of everything she ever cared about, for the second time. Because if I stay here, something dire will happen, I know it." -The Huntress Part IV: The Awakening

Jillian McMullen
Age: 19
DOB: March 10th
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 111 lbs
Sex: Female
Occupation: Computer Programmer/Hacker
Hair: Auburn
Eyes: Green
Species: Human

Biography: Jillian McMullen was born on Earth, but moved with her family of two sisters, one older, one younger, and her parents, to a moon of the Planet Delron when she was 7 years old. When she reached the age of 13, the moon was raided by Space Pirates who actually left quit a few alive this time, unlike when they raided Samus' home. Even still, Jillian was the only one left alive of her family, and was found by Samus Aran who took the young girl in.
Jillian and Samus took to each other like sisters, yet even still Jillian couldn't seem to get Samus to open up to her. Jillian knew Samus had been given a bad lot in life, but Samus never wanted to talk about her past, even when Jillian tried to ease herself into the conversation with her. Despite that however, Jillian remained true to Samus and respected her wishes once she was old enough to realize she was probably prying a bit too much.
A computer genius, Jillian has a knack for making programs and for hacking into computers to steal information or whatever she needs which became of much use to Samus. Sweet and open minded, as well as moralistic, Jillian is optimistic and free spirited, much unlike Samus who believes a persons actions should be made carefully.

Drevan Arlington
Age: 23
DOB: November 3rd
Height: 6"5'
Weight: 145 lbs
Sex: Male
Occupation: Bounty Hunter
Hair: Black
Eyes: Blue
Species: Human

Biography: Drevan Arlington was born on the "Renegade" Planet Aines. He never speaks of his past much, like Samus, however he's more free spirited and would tell about it easier like Jillian. Drevan's father died when he was very young of a rare disease that affects the brain, and his mother tried her best to shelter the young boy from any type of harm as she didn't want to lose him as well. However as is the case with most young boys, they will learn through experience.
Drevan learned of a bounty hunter named Samus Aran when he was between bounties in a bar upon Aines he liked to drink at from time to time. He met her when the two were hired to do a show of sportsmanship. Afterwards, he and Samus developed a shaky love connection that went on and off. He would admit easier than Samus would that he loved her, as Samus always hid her feelings, but he didn't need to be told of her love for him.
A bit pessimistic from time to time, Drevan is also quiet, listening and calculating. He can also be a bit immature from time to time, which causes for some heated arguments with Samus, as well as other people. Also, he seems to be very good at setting himself up to be the butt of Samus' jokes.

Kylie Aran
Age: 34
DOB: July 21st
Height: 5"9'
Weight: 118 lbs
Sex: Female
Occupation: Mercenary
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Species: Human

Biography: Born on Planet Lavidia, Kylie Aran is Samus' half sister, ten years older than Samus. They share the same father, whom left Kylies mother before he knew she was going to give birth to his child. Kylie grew up despising the father that left her and her mother on Planet Lavidia, believing he knew of her, and wanted to find him once she was old enough and had the means if only to let him know of her anger. Over time, her hatred grew and when she heard of her fathers passing in a space pirate raid, she took out her anger on her half sister Samus, whom had no clue of Kylies existence.
Kylie spent most of her 20's learning about weaponry and taking mercenary jobs for different people. She became an accomplished pilot and once she made enough money she moved her mother to a better place to live than Lavidia could provide. Once she'd done so, she concentrated on her revenge.
After finding Samus, and some shaky events taking place between them, Kylie and Samus became friends. Kylie began to realize the error in her judgment, and she realized she'd wasted most of her life hating someone who had nothing to do with her misfortunes.
Kylie at heart is laid back and a typical smartass, seeming to always know when to land the right comment at the right time. Though she looks much like Samus, they can be as different as night and day. While Kylie can be stern and hard, it's not in her nature as much as it is Samus'.

There's no way in hell I would want someone to experiment with my DNA if I didn't know about it, so I think your precious station got what it deserved. Had I been in Samus' place I would have done the same thing. Now get out of my damn sight." -The Huntress Part V: Emulation

Jaken
Age: 26 Human Years, Approximately 104 Chozo Years
DOB: 25th Day of the Chozo Season of Solstice (Of measuring from the Chozo World Planet Janixia. The first Season, comprised of 46 days is called Solstice. The second Season is called Equinox and is comprised of 45 days of Janixia's year.)
Height: 6"0'
Weight: 159 lbs
Sex: Male
Occupation: Elder
Hair: N/A
Eyes: Gold
Species: Chozo

Biography: Jaken, son of Lakia, was born on Planet Revon. The first, and only biological child to the elder Lakia, Jaken would follow in his fathers footsteps once he got older. His father Lakia would find the orphan Samus on K2-L and raise her as Jaken's sister. Despite species differences, and Samus' love to get into fights with her adopted sibling, she and Jaken loved each other deeply and would always confide things in one another.
At the age of 19 human years, Jaken's world was destroyed when his father and sister, as well as his home on Revon was destroyed by space pirates, or so he'd thought. He and 17 other Chozo, now the last in the galaxy, left the raided Revon to live out their final days in the Aline System, where they would write their final chapter in history.
It wasn't until a few years later that word reached him and his Chozo brothers in the Aline System of a Bounty Hunter named Samus Aran who'd done things no one thought possible. Jaken was shocked to hear that his sister was alive, and overcome with joy, if not some sadness, for they believed it best to leave themselves away from the rest of the Galaxy until their days had come and gone, only catering to miners passing through the system from time to time, which is where the news of Samus arrived from. Needless to say because of this, he would most likely never be reuninted with his long lost sister.
Jaken is in all ways humble and wise, and would do anything he could if it meant the greater good for all. Given to his fathers sense of humor, which is a Chozo kind of humor, he always manages to bring things together for Samus when she's struggling with something, either emotionally or the problems surrounding her that's she's trying to solve.

Noted Quotes:

"You see, patience is the key to everything. Without it, we are simply drifting without purpose throughout the cosmos." -The Huntress Part IV: The Awakening "We have allowed you to stay, and search our peaceful colony for this hunter you are seeking, but you have worn out your welcome. Quit contrary to belief, the Chozo do know how to fight, we do know about the art of war, and if you do not leave now, we will properly educate you on those ways." -The Huntress Part IV: The Awakening

Occupation: Engineer
Hair: N/A

He doesn't remember much of the time the Chozo were driven from the planet almost half a century ago by the Space Pirates, but he survived, as did his Mother, Father, and 3 of his siblings. Sadly, the rest of his family perished in the attacks, and though the Chozo tried to reclaim the planet from the Space Pirates, for at least long enough to seal off anything the Pirates may find there that they could twist to their own doings, Nivist never returned to the planet after the few short months he was born and lived there. Though Zebes was reclaimed, and their artifacts sealed, the Pirates became relentless in their attacks, and finally after about half a century of battle for the planet, the Chozo left Zebes and never returned. Nivists father eventually died in one of the attacks on Zebes.
Despite all that Nivist lost in his life as far as family goes, he has always maintained a bright and cheery outlook. His perspective has always been an optimistic one. Very skilled in engineering, and highly intelligent, Nivist has created some of the most innovative devices the Chozo have seen, and was also the lead engineer, as well as designer, for the suit of armor Samus Aran wears.

Silginia was fated to make contact with a group of gunships carrying some of the remaining Chozo from Planet Revon, a group which her homeworld of Janixia thought to be wiped out about 9 years prior. After making contact with them, Silginia was reunited with Jaken, an old childhood friend which she had few memories of, but could remember more of his father, Lakia, because of his friendship with her parents.
Silginia is very wise, and a very capable commander. It was her ship which gave the final blow in a battle against Space Pirates to stop them from a scheme which could eventually have led to Janixia's end.

Eric Lenyrd
Age: 60
DOB: April 19th
Height: 6"2'
Weight: 154 lbs
Sex: Male
Occupation: Engineer
Hair: White
Eyes: Brown
Species: Human

Biography: Eric Lenyrd doesn't know where he was born, as he grew up in different orphanages across many different planets. He believes he was born in space however upon a transport vessel, but he has no clue who his parents are or why they left him to be raised the way he was. All he does know is that he has always had a fascination for the way things worked and how to build things
When he was 20, he took a job with the Galactic Federation as a chief engineer on several projects the Federation planned. When a friend of his was murdered however, and he found himself framed for it somehow, he became a renegade to the law, and unwilling to go to prison for crimes he did not commit, he became somewhat of an outcast. He went to bounty hunting for money and became very good at it since he could upgrade his equipment with his knowledge of engineering.
The "Outlaw" had the fortune of meeting a Chozo, who was sympathetic to his story, and they became good friends. After many years of learning about Chozo technology and even working with them to build things, he finally settled on the Planet Revon, where he helped to raise a young Samus Aran seeing that she would need someone of her own species to relate to from time to time. He never looked upon Samus as a daughter, but he did grow fond of her. Perhaps he was somewhat of an uncle to Samus, no one knows as they never speak much on their friendship, but seem to get along well.
Even though up in years, Eric is still able to dish it out when need be, and helps when he can. Quiet and more of a thinker, he never speaks much unless spoken too, yet has a pretty good sense of humor.

Age: 51
DOB: July 27th
Height: 5"9'
Weight: 147 lbs
Sex: Male
Occupation: President of the Galactic Federation
Hair: White
Eyes: Brown
Species: Human

Biography: Born an only child, Ethan Senning grew up with much interest in politics upon the planet Alaron VI. Entering into the profession at a very young age, his goals and ambitions were to ultimately help remove any corruption from the government. The youngest human Senator on record as well, Ethan's drive was almost unmatched by any of his comrades, even Enredicans who were known for their political genius.
Finally reaching the prestigious goal of becoming president, Ethan's sit in office would be remembered as the "Zebes Affair" humorously by some. When President Senning took office, a recent discovery of a new life form had been made, a life form called a Metroid. After the Metroids were smuggled by Space Pirates to Planet Zebes, and military teams were sent and never heard from again, it was Sennings idea to hire a bounty hunter, the best in the known galaxy, to fix the problem. Samus Aran was hired by President Senning and another military officer personally, and after his meeting with her, his ideas on many things would change, and for some reason, Samus had a tremendous impact on him and his ideas of humanity, both politically, and socially. Senning is one of the only politicians Samus Aran has ever trusted, though she would never admit to it.

Ridley (Created by Nintendo)
Age: Unknown
DOB: N/A
Height: 9"1'
Weight: 375 lbs
Sex: Male
Occupation: Unknown
Hair: N/A
Eyes: Gold
Species: Unknown

Biography: All information on the Bioform Ridley has pointed to the fact that he is a bio-genetically engineered creature created by the Space Pirates for original purposes unknown. However, this being has been used in numerous assaults against the Galactic Federation, and prowess in battle is not one to be ignored.
Whether or not the creature possesses any assentient intellect is also unknown, but all studies of the creature, including behavior and genetic samples from assaults made by the creature point to the fact that he is. The Pirates engineered the creature to be able to move throughout space as well, without the need to use respiration to live, at least for extended periods of time. Theories on this are that he has some type of organ perhaps in which he can store any type of gas he uses to breath, probably oxygen, which feeds him over time, several days even, leaving him with no need to breath.
It is believed that the use if cybernetics was also implemented in the creation of this being, if the weapons he uses are any indication, such as the fire-like energy he emits from his mouth.
No specimens of this creature, either alive or dead, have ever been captured or recovered to be studied by the Galactic Federation, leaving primarily theories only about him and hardly any solid facts.

No one knows the origins of this creature, nor has anyone ever seen such a thing like it before Samus' missions. It is only speculated that the creature was engineered by the Space Pirates, but how they used the creature or what purpose it truly served remains a mystery.

Part II: Places

Earth
Classification: Planet
Description: Earth is the homeworld of the Human Species, and one of the Strongholds for the Galactic Federation. Though human history is wrought with wars between themselves and other alien species which have taken place on this planet, humans themselves are a very versatile race and can be found all over the cosmos for more or less.
Earth itself holds a menagerie of different landscapes and climates, probably because of its perfect location from the star in its solar system the Humans refer to as the sun. Because of this, Earth is probably one of the strongest centers of trade for the Galactic Federation.
No other planet in Earths Solar system originated any life although colonies have been built on neighboring planets to Earth, Planet Mars and Venus, both of which had to be conditioned atmospherically. Also, the only satellite of the planet has been colonized.

Description: Enredic, the second planet in a solar system of two, shares its system with Planet Aines, but is in no way like Aines. The race of Enredicans, a very intelligent race with deep blue skin, sporting small ridges across their foreheads and noses, are native to this planet, and while this peaceful place is also not a member of the Galactic Federation, many Enredicans have joined the Galactic Federation as senators and as other prestigious people.
Enredic is known for its mass production of powerfully armored space vessels, technology of which is made profit off of by selling it to the Galactic Federation. Also, since Enredicans are such an intellectually advanced race, that their technology has been given, traded, and sold to many different governments on numerous occasions.

Margides
Classification: Planet
Description: Margides was the Planet on which the Galactic Federation was originated. Because of this, the planet is etched in history, and like Earth, sports many different climates and landscapes. The second planet of three in its Solar System, Margides is the only habitable planet of it's system, and therefore sports a host of places for rest for travelers moving throughout the galaxies.
Home to Margadians, a very tall, powerfully built race with orangish to deep red tones of skin and furry like hair that matches the same spectrum of colors. This race is primal-like in their traditions, which they hold to deeply. They do not mind a good fight, but mostly this is with other races, and never among each other.

Alaron VI
Classification: Planet
Description: Alaron VI, as its name states, is the 6th planet in a solar system of ten planets, all of which but the first and last are inhabited and all of which are named Alaron. No one knows what species originated from these planets, but the outer 3, excluding the last, is home to mostly beasts which lack any kind of intelligence besides their own survival. It is believed these 3 planets are still in their early evolutionary stages.
When someone says Alaronite, they typically mean a person who was born on a planet in the Alaron system, not a specific race. All of the planets that are civilized in the Alaron System are part of the Galactic Federation, making it the largest grouping of Federation Planets in existence. Alaron VI, the largest and most populated of the planets, is the main headquarters for the Galactic Federation Military.

Syfia
Classification: Planet
Description: The largest planet in its solar system, Syfia has undergone a permanent ice age. Because of this, the planet is usually avoided at all costs. Not located within Galactic Federation space, not much study of the planet has been carried out by the Federations Science Teams.
While the planet holds no native life of any assentient kind, there is a secret underground world to Syfia which only very few could find if they tried. The entrance, which is buried beneath the snow, is a turbo lift leading down about 50 feet into the ground where there is somewhat of a small social structure and economy in its own which caters mostly to criminals on the run, outcasts, and bounty hunters who may know the place exists. Because of the extremely cold temperatures on the planets surface however, once someone arrives there, unless they're well equipped, they usually don't leave.

Aines
Classification: Planet
Description: Aines is located outside of the Galactic Federations space, and is not a member of its populace, and therefore does not apply the Galactic Federations rules. Without a withstanding government, the planet has evolved its own social structure, and because of this, many items the Galactic Federation deems illegal can be found here quit easily, making it an ideal place for Bounty Hunters to find jobs and equipment, as well as a place for smugglers to get their items.
Because of this however, travel here is not safe if you do not keep an eye on your purse, or even on your own life. Only the well traveled would stay on this planet, and because of that, the planet seems to have adopted the life style of "Only the Strong."
Because this planet is mostly dry and dessert like, without many water sources, the civilizations have been built in tight nit clusters across its terrain. Without a reliable means of transport across the dry areas which span for miles and miles, a person would die long before they reached the next city. This planet has 5 satellites, all of which are very small and set up for junk yards and ship lots for the buying and trading of goods and items. The first of two planets in its solar system, Aines' history is unknown.

Vorix VI (UG37)
Classification: Planet
Description: Like the Alaron system, all the planets in this system are named after the system and numbered according to their place from its star. Vorix VI is the final planet in this system. Named Vorix by the Chozo who catalogued the system long before the Galactic Federation came across it, it is classified to the Galactic Federation as UG37. The planets surface is under a constant storm of debris and sand from its surface, and the temperatures change drastically from day to night because of its thick atmosphere and its distance from the star it orbits. No life has ever been detected on this planet, not even microscopic.
The Chozo believe this planet could have been the homeworld of the Space Pirates, but that theory was never proven. Thus the mysteries of this planet have never been fully revealed.

Illion Space Station
Classification: Scientific Space Station
Description: Illion Space Station was first established as a medical quarantine for Military Officers returning from missions and receiving routine medical check ups. After an agreement that her medical files and records would be classified to only the personnel working on the station, Samus Aran agreed to medical check ups on a routine basis along with other cadets and such because of her missions to Zebes.
Sometime between Samus' first mission to Zebes and her mission to SR388 the Space Station suffered an accident that crippled it beyond repair, only usable as scrap for a junk yard, or so the Galactic Federation reported. In reality, the Space Station was very salvageable, and with the belief that it had been destroyed, it became a research laboratory for all of the Galactic Federations most top secret experiments.

Cyrus System
Classification: Solar System
Description: Cyrus System is located not far from the Kilana Rift, and is very small, holding no redeemable qualities on any of its planets, which aren't even inhabitable. This however had attracted the Galactic Federation as they found the lack of activity in the Solar System caused it to be promising for scientific research without any interference from forces such as the Space Pirates. Therefore quite a few Space Stations inhabit the space of this solar system.

Cyrus Station
Classification: Scientific Space Station
Description: Cyrus Station housed the major studies of Phazon for the Galactic Federation ever since Samus' mission to Tallon IV where she first ran into the mutagenic substance. The studies included that of reactions to several plants and animals, and also research to develop devices for protection against it. The Space Station itself is very large, one of the biggest stations the Galactic Federation ever built. Secondary research on the station includes cloning.

Lavidia
Classification: Planet
Description: Planet Lavidia is a planet under colonization by the Galactic Federation. It is located very far away from any strongholds of the Federation however, and is the third planet in its solar system. This planet resembles the only satellite of Planet Earth, as it has a barren surface and no atmosphere whatsoever. The colonies are set under large domes, on the surface are mostly control buildings and some housing, but the colonies go far underground where the majority of the housing is located.
The Federation found interest in this planet because there was no life on it, yet the planet itself seemed to hold the promise of one day being able to sustain its own ecosystem with time and conditioning. Because of the planets remote location however, progress has been very slow.

Lavidia System
Classification: Solar System
Description: A Solar System in Galactic Federation Territory which houses 5 planets, 2 of which contain life, either naturally evolving or not. Lavidia, the 3rd planet of this solar system contains colonies of the Galactic Federation, and Narceon, the 5th planet, is populated solely by large animals of its own evolutionary history. The System itself is located far away from the Federations Strongholds, almost on the outskirts of its territories.

Narceon
Classification: Planet
Description: The fifth planet in its solar system, Narceon is rather large, mostly humid because of certain gases in its atmosphere that cause somewhat of a greenhouse effect, and covered in rocky mountains and jungles. No intelligent life roams the planets surface, however fierce creatures somewhat like the dinosaurs of Earths history litter the planet. Located in the Lavidia system, some bounty hunters have found this planet to be a temporary safe fall when they are hiding from danger.

Revon
Classification: Planet
Description: The 3rd planet out of 6 others, Revon is the only planet in its system inhabitable and not comprised of gas. On the southern hemisphere lives small clusters of a pre-industrial race of humanoids that are totally unaware of the Chozo that have inhabited that planet for several years. The colony on Planet Revon was meant to be one of discovery, as the planet itself holds many scientific phenomenon that even the Chozo can not figure out, and cause strange things to happen from time to time.
The Chozo colony on Revon is a small one compared to some of the other colonies the Chozo have built, but nevertheless it became one of their most popular because of the scientific works they did there.
The system this planet resides within lies beyond the Kilana Rift, and therefore it holds very little interest to anyone who cannot travel through the rift safely. This has caused the planet to be a very peaceful haven for the Chozo as well.

Janixia
Classification: Planet
Description: A fertile and lush planet that has housed the advanced species of Chozo for eons. Janixia is not the Chozo's homeworld originally, but its history with their race and their total domination of the planet has caused it to become their sole home.
Janixia is the 5th planet in its system and sports a ring around its center that is only visible during certain phases of its orbit because of it's linear span around the planet making it hard for the light to illuminate it.

Aline System
Classification: Solar System
Description: A Solar System persisting of 6 planets, none of which are very large, this solar system is located far beyond the reaches of Galactic Federation Space in regions still highly uncharted. The Chozo however used the fourth planet in the Solar System as a colony for discovery for several years before they moved on, leaving their colonies behind, another mark in the universe of where the Chozo once existed waiting to be discovered.
The Chozo simply named the planet they inhabited after the Solar System, which is Aline, but never went to any great lengths to name any of the other planets in the system. Perhaps when the Galactic Federation does more charting of the solar system, the other planets will be named, but for now the solar system lies far out of reach of their territories.

Kilana Rift
Classification: Class 5 Spacial Rift
Description: Kilana Rift was discovered by a team of Galactic Federation explorers who studied the odd gravitational fluxes and random powerful ionic storms that took place inside the nebula-like green clouds of dust. Upon trying to classify it, scientists were baffled as it held qualities both like a nebula and a black hole, yet could not be classified as either purely. After discovering that the rift was dangerous to travel through, especially for larger ships, the Galactic Federation never attempted to reach the other side of this rift until better technology could be developed for them to navigate through it easier.
The sheer size of the rift would engulf large solar systems, and therefore would take months to travel around, however it is estimated by the Galactic Federation that to travel through it would take far less time, saying you could get through it successfully. So exploration on the other side of the rift was never attempted.

Inia
Classification: Planet
Description: Planet Inia is known to all as "The Planet of Vacation". It is a place where travels from all walks of life come to have a good time, even if only for a little while. A lush planet sporting many different types of terrains, it was first colonized by humans before the Galactic Federation was ever formed. Residing outside of Federation space, the planets government is a democracy, led by humans and a few other alien races, but the laws upon the planet are much less strict than that of the Galactic Federations laws.
Because so many people travel to and from this planet, not many criminals do so as it would be easy for them to get caught. Because of this, the planet usually remains peaceful, and is rarely heard about on the news unless in an advertisement for a new vacation package or that of the like.

Part III: Species

Human
Origin: Planet Earth
Description: Humans are a versatile race of beings who originated from Planet Earth but since the species technological advances allowed them to leave their homeworld, they have been found all over the cosmos.
Typically anywhere from 4 to 7 feet in height, humans come in many different skin tones, yet all have the same basic body build. Their personalities are also very versatile as they have been known to not only war with other species, but among themselves as well. Since leaving their homeworld to explore the galaxy however they have been less interested in warring with each other as much and have acquired new goals for themselves.
Not an overly intellectual race, they do possess pride in what they do, whether it be for themselves as a single individual or for their race as a whole. Humans live for around 90 to 150 Earth Years.

Chozo (Created by Nintendo)
Origin: Unknown
Description: The Chozo are an assentient race of creatures with avian like faces, black skin, and 4 long digits on each of their hands and feet. Their history is long and involved, so long in fact that even they are not sure which planet marks their origin. Their race is also highly evolved, believing that they can evolve no further, and therefore their intellect is very high, as is their technology superior. Within their minds lay some emphatic abilities, as well as telepathy, but only to an extent.
Strong believers in prophecy and tradition, their history, architecture, and teachings are rife with such things, including powerful words of legacy. Since they have evolved so much, they have withdrawn themselves from the cosmos to allow other species to accomplish what they have and let history and events take their place.
This has led to the belief that the Chozo are all extinct, and while scientific facts say this could be true, no one knows for sure if they have been totally wiped from existence or not. Even still, to meet a Chozo would be a highly unlikely and should not be taken for granted.
Peaceful and serene, yet knowledgeable in the arts of war, the only real threats that have ever been posed to the Chozo have come from the Space Pirates, and very rarely anyone else. Chozo life span is unknown, but the oldest recorded and calculated out in Earth's years was around 498 years old.

Enredican
Origin: Planet Enredic
Description: A proud and intellectual race, the Enredicans usually pursue jobs as politicians and ambassadors. With the same body types as humans and heights, Enredicans sport an indigo blue skin, and all different types of hair color. Also, across the middle of the forehead and down the bridges of their noses can be found ridges in their skin, somewhat like small slashes.
Somewhat steeped in religion, the Enredicans have made no enemies, and because of their ways, have been used as pawns somewhat by other alien races. However, with their technology, they have been able to earn themselves a good place among other people. Enredicans live for 70 to 150 Earth Years.

Margadian
Origin: Planet Margides
Description: A primalistic race that favors deep traditions which other races possibly couldn't stomach, typical Margadians are strong and make excellent warriors. With tall frames of around 6 to 8 feet in males and 5 to 7 feet in females, the Margadians sport orange to red skin colors and furry like hair of the same spectrum. The males of the race usually wear rings through their noses when they come of age, and many times females are rarely seen as within the primalistic society, females are simply thought of as child bearers and nothing more. However, to challenge a female Margadian to battle is just as dangerous as challenging a male.
Because of this lifestyle, many outsiders thing Margadians are barbarian like, but the opposite is true. They host high intellects, and very civil manners with others unless provoked. Margadians rarely ever fight among one another, but with outside forces they do so much. Because of this, many find it surprising that the Margadians were one of the first species to join the Galactic Federation, but that event is something the Margadians hold in high regard. Margadians live for around 70 to 150 Earth Years.

Space Pirates (Created by Nintendo)
Origin: Unknown
Description: A species who keeps to themselves as they believe the only way to better ones self is to over throw all those who would stand in their way, Space Pirates are only seen in the galaxy when doing battle with another species. Not too much is known of them besides their desire to conquer civilizations and take them as their own, and their insatiable desire to advance themselves technologically.
These creatures sport dark brown to black exoskeletons, and not much difference can be told between any of them, even males to females. No origin for these creatures is known, neither is any life expectancy, and to complicate things, these creatures are also constantly experimenting with their own makeup to try to better themselves through science. Space Pirates have also created creatures to serve under their whims, and as such have also spun to life new classifications of animals and plants.
Despite their scientific endeavors which show their intellect, as their name suggests, the Space Pirates are no more than that, pirates. They steal and destroy to get what they need, whether that need is a means to do something, or something itself. The Galactic Federation named these creatures Space Pirates after their love for attacking ships and hoarding the ships items for themselves and then leaving the scene quickly, and the name stuck to them. No one in the Galatic Federation knows what they may have called themselves before, but the name has become such a popular term that these creatures use it for themselves as well.
There are several secrets hidden in the Space Pirates past, however no one knows of them save the Chozo.

Revonian
Origin: Planet Revon
Description: A peaceful, pre-industrial race of humanoid people which are indigenous to Planet Revon, the sole difference in looks between Revonians and Humans is the bulge in Revonians foreheads. Revonians brains are bigger than humans, which is the reason for this, and why they are bigger is for the telepathic and emphatic abilities that Revonians possess. These abilities are also much stronger than that of even the Chozo.
Because of their telepathic and emphatic abilities, Revonians have little need for spoken language, therefore when they speak with others who are not telepathic, they sound like mere children, even the adults. It is speculated by the Chozo, whom had established a colony on the Revonians homeworld, that somewhere along the evolutionary path, Revonians will lose their vocal chords all together, and only retain their mouths for ingestion of foods.
Being a very peaceful race, the Revonians are mostly shy and timid, especially around those not of their own kind. They have an innate curiosity about everything around them, and strife to learn as much as they can.

My Thank You

To thank you for reading my stories, and for asking for this chronicle, I've decided to include a preview of a new Fan Fiction I'm currently working on called "Anathema". This story takes place five years after the events in "The Huntress" stories, and continues the storyline. So enjoy this preview!

(Note that "Anathema" is still in it's early skeletal stages of development and anything could change between now and the time it comes out!)

After the ceremony for Anettes 16th birthday, which was the age of entering into adulthood for the Chozo, everyone began to socialize and some to dance to the music that was playing. Even some of the Revonians had come to the party, the race which inhabited planet Revon by natural evolutionary rights.
The Revonians were highly telepathic and emphatic, and because of this they didn't speak very much between each other, instead they used their minds as their primary source of communication. Because of this, they're spoken language wasn't very good, but still they tried very hard. They looked almost exactly like humans, except for the bulge on their foreheads because their brains were bigger due to their telepathic abilities.
They were a very peaceful people, which allowed for themselves and the Chozo to get along very well.
As Samus stood there watching everyone from her spot in the corner as usual, she noticed Shalar watching her quietly, one of the Revonians who visited the Chozo very often, a somewhat forlorn look on her face as if she were trying to figure something out. Samus blinked a bit and decided perhaps she should try to talk to her. So Samus pushed herself away from the wall and made her way towards the Revonian.
Shalar blinked a little, but didn't move. Samus stopped before her and held out her hand with a little smile. "How have you been Shalar?" She asked softly.
Shalar reached slowly for her hand yet never broke eye contact with Samus. Her mouth opened as she slowly said, somewhat nervously, "I have been well. You have?"
Samus nodded, "Yes I have. What about your husband?"
Once more Shalar nodded. Samus decided to cut to the chase, "Shalar, I wanted to ask you about something please."
Shalar blinked her blue eyes up at Samus while Samus watched her. Then she turned her head a bit, "Have I done wrong?"
Samus shook her head no quickly, deciding perhaps Shalar wasn't reading her mind. "No, it's nothing like that. I wanted to ask you why you always back away from me? You act as if you're frightened."
Shalar looked down at the floor for a moment and swallowed, seeming a bit ashamed. "I am sorry Samus Aran. I do not want to offend you." Each word came out slowly as if she were trying to remember them as she spoke. "I am afraid of you. Yes."
     "Why?" Samus asked curiously.
Shalar shook her head and looked at Samus. Then she took a deep breath, "I am ashamed. My mind saw thoughts. I did not mean to. It was when we met and I did not know you are not like me."
"You mean that I'm not telepathic?"
     Shalar nodded.
"You saw some of my thoughts?"
Once more she nodded slowly, "I'm so sorry."
Samus didn't comment on her apology, "What did you see?"
Shalar shook her head slowly, "I cannot speak it."
Samus sighed softly, knowing the woman probably wouldn't understand if Samus tried to explain anything she'd seen anyway. "Shalar, I want you to listen to me carefully please."
Shalar nodded, and Samus continued, "Whatever you saw, no matter how bad it was, you don't have to fear me because of it. I would never hurt anyone without any reason at all."
Shalar did seem to sigh a bit in relief but she didn't seem all that appeased as she shook her head again, "You're suffering Samus Aran."
Samus blinked some at those words but she didn't speak.
     "Your heart is poisoned."
     "What are you talking about?"
Shalar blinked, seeming to act as if she couldn't find the words to say what she meant. Then she put her fingers onto her head. Slowly she reached her fingers up to touch Samus' forehead in return, but just before her fingers could make contact, Anette said, "Samus."
     Samus looked at Anette, "Yes?"
"There was an explosion in the Revonian village near here. They said there's some people trapped beneath the wreckage and they need some help getting out."
Samus sighed softly as the Revonians seemed to get into accidents every once in a while as they learned about some of their new technology. Then she nodded, "I'll go help." Samus looked back at Shalar who'd lowered her hands for a moment, and hesitated on moving, thinking about what she'd said, then she walked off quickly. Anette looked at Shalar and said, "Are you alright?"
Shalar nodded a little and gave Anette a smile.
